River Till River Till Continued On Sheets Haggis Hall where it receives
20.9 & the waters of the River Breamish
20.13 it then proceeds Northerly for
about 4 miles to Lyham, at this
point it turns Westward for
about 4 miles to Weetwood Hall
where it receives the Wooler Water
it then proceeds in a generally N.W. Direction for about 2 Miles,
where it receives the waters of the <River Glen, which river is formed
by the united streams of the Bowmont Water & Colledge Burn
from this point it Continues in the same general direction past
Ford, Etal, and enters Norham parish near to New Etal and empties
itself into the Tweed about a mile West of Twizell Castle, &
11 miles by road above Berwick upon Tweed
It is rather a sluggish, slow running stream, in many parts deep
and dangerous, but presents many places favourable
to the angler.
