Camp". the ditch is still traceable all
round, but better defined to the
North, West & South, the name infers
Supposed Saxon & tradition says that this was used as
Reply to remark No. 1 a burial place for the Camp & a small
(o.m.o.) hillock joining the East face is covered
with beautiful green grass, &c much
superior to the remainder of the field
which may be caused by there being some
enriching substance having been
mingled with the soil, it may be
that the square entrenchment shown on
trace may have been an auxilliary or
outwork of "Remains of Camp."
