Extract from McKenzie’s History, At a
little distance from the Grange, and adjoining
the lane leading to Warden, called Homer’s Lane, is
the fragment of a cross, with a sheathed sword
cut on it, as the token of a treaty of peace;
but to what event it relates is not known,
From what McKenzie’s says in his History and from the general
appearance of it (The Cross) I consider it worthy of the
Character as written on trace (German Text)
