Roman Camp Station 5 chains N.W An ancient Roman Station situated
Roman Camp Station of Grindon Hill on a slight eminence, the only
Roman Camp Station remains of which is an earthen
Cancelled bank, the north and west
faces being raised much higher
than its others sides and it appears
to have been a station of minor
importance. "Bruce’s Roman Wall"
does not mention this feature.
