Tweed in a westerly direction, about 1/4
of a mile.
Twizell Boathouse Twisel Boat House Captn Blake, Tilmouth Park On Sheet A small cottage dwelling on the south
Mr Scott, Tenant 9.4 bank of the River Tweed a short distance

St Cuthbert’s Chapel St Cuthberts Chapel Captn Blake On Sheet The ruins of an old Chapel dedicated
(Ruins of) (Ruins of) Mr Havery, Farmer 9.4 to St. Cuthbert, the walls are still in
Mr Tait, Farmer good preservation and part of the roof
standing. Adjoining the Chapel was a
Burial ground from which a part of a
Stone Coffin was dug up which is still
preserved at Tilmouth Park.
According to tradition this coffin is called
St. Cuthberts Boat, in which he made
