Hall Shoreswood Hall Messrs T & J Dodds 6.11 cottages, garden and a farm of arable
land attached. It was originally a Gent-
leman’s Mansion and hence the name "Hall"
but is now sometimes erroniously called
"The Red House". It is in the possession
of Mr Johnson and the property of the
Dean and Chapter of Durham.
Shoreswood Shoreswood Colliery Revd W C King, Vicar On Sheet A mine from which a good supply of
Colliery Shoreswood Colliery Mr J Dodds 6.11 Coals are is obtained, partly worked by
Mr David Carr, Felkington Steam-power. Lessees Mr Johnson &c.
Proprietor the Dean and Chapter of Durham.
Peterhead Peterhead Revd W C King, Vicar On Sheet The name applies to a cottage on the
Peterhead Mr J Dodds 6.11 farm of Shoreswood Hall, occupied by
Mr D. Carr Colliers and is the property of the
Dean and Chapter of Durham.
