St Thomas’s Island Mr Mark Thompson 6.2 Tweed" about one fourth of a
St Thomas’s Island Mr William Brown mile west of Horncliffe -it is
covered with good pasture, [???]
having on it a small house,
for the accommodation of the
Water Bailiffs when watching the
River in the night-time.
There are no antiquities connected
with this Island, (as the name
would seem to indicate) it
having only got this name
about 35 years ago. It belongs to the
Berwickshire side of the River.
Camp Camp, (Remains of) Mr Ralph Cleghorn On sheet The remains of an old British
(Remains of) (British) Mr Mark Thompson 6.2 Camp in an arable field near
Mr William Brown to the River Tweed, and about
1/2 mile west of Horncliffe.
It appears to have been a very
large one, but is now nearly
obliterated by the action of
the plough &c.
