Mr Sutherland, Tenant Melkington. It has a considerable
quantity of arable land attached
it belongs to Sir Francis Blake
Bart of Tilmouth Park.
Mugger’s Loan Muggers Loan J Compton On Sheet A portion of an almost disused
Mr Sutherland 9.8 Parish road formerly leading
Mr Havery from Cornhill to Heaton it is
now nearly overgrown with furze
and receives this name from it
being a favourite encamping
place of the Muggers or Gipsies.
