garden and shrubbery pleasantly
situate on a gentle rising ground
about 3/4 of a mile east from Cornhill
Railway Station it is the property of
Sir Francis Blake Bart of Tilmouth Park.
Melkington Quarry Melkington Quarry Mr Sutherland On Sheet A small freestone quarry on the farm
Mr Compton 9.8 of Melkington from whence it is named
Mr Havery it is only occassionally wrought as the
demand for stone arises, it is the property
of Sir Francis Blake Bart.
Cornhill Quarry Cornhill Quarry Mr Sutherland On Sheet A freestone quarry on each side of the
Mr Havery 9.8 North Eastern Railway, it is furnished
Revd Mr Tyler with a Stationary Engine for pumping
and drawing the stone up tramways
there are also sidings for the convenience
of sending stone along the line. It is the
Property of Collingwood Esq. of
Cornhill House.
