Church Hill Mr Robert Simpson of Church to the Main land at Alnmouth

(Island) and formerly there stood a church
dedicated to St John the Baptist
Church Yard Church Hill Mr George Tate on the north end of it: whichthe church was
(Remains of) Church Hill Mr Holland blown down on Christmass Day 1806
Church Hill The Estate Plan and by the encroachment of the Sea the
ground where it Stood sliped was washed away. So that
there is no vestige of the Site remaining
on the Summit there are Still visible
three grave Stones one of which
bears the following inscription
viz. Here lieth the body
of Robert Long —– 15th
of March 1726. Aged 44
years
