Mr. Dickenson running in a northerly direction
through it for upwards of two
miles; it takes its rise on the mountain
of Cross Fell in Co Cumberland
receiving the waters of the North Tyne
near the Town of Hexham (besides
numerous smaller Streams) from thence
the two united is Called ther River
Tyne which ultimately falling into the
North Sea at Tynemouth
