Kippie Hill Kippie or Kypie Hill Mr. Chrsn Brown On Sheet A low hill so called a little S.E. of
Mr. J. Howie 14. 9 Howtell, & on the boundary between the
Directory Phs of Ford & Kirknewton, Kypie is the
Kippie Adopted more ancient name.
Homilton Hill Homilton Hill Mr. C. Brown On Sheet A small Knoll or hill stuck like a bur,
or Reedsford Hill Mr. W. Dodds 14. 9 on the N.W. face of Housedon Hill, it is
Old Estate Map (1778) best known as Reedsford Hill, but there is
Homilton Hill Adopted not a doubt, that the former name taken
from the old map, is the correct one.
Housedonhaugh Housedon Haugh Mr. C. Brown On Sheet A small holding or farm on the N. Bank of
Mr. W. Dodds 14. 9 the River Bowmont & adjoining Reedsford
Mr J Anderson it is only a thatched house with a cottage
Housedonhaugh Should be Compounded. or two of the same decayed appearance.
it is sometimes spelled Hauston Haugh,
but Housedon is the proper name, being
derived from its proximity to the Hill
of that name.
