Estate Map brush wood, it has the remains of a Camp
on its Southern brow, and is Sometimes
called "Heathpool Bell".
Camp (remains of) Mr Alexr Thompson The faint remains of an Ancient
Mr Wm Reed Camp on the southern brow
Estate Map of the above hill.
It is doubtful as to this Enclosure
having been a Camp – the name
is therfoon to be omitted.
Heathpool Lynn Heathpool Lynn Mr. Alexr Thompson on Sheet A rocky gorge at the junction of the College &
Mr. Wm Reed 19. 5 Elsdonburn Burns, wheon the water forces its
Mr. A. Lamb way thro’ a narrow gut for about 10 Chs, and
at one place makes a leap of about 10 feet,
but during floods it is a furious foaming
torrent.
