Camp Hodgsons Hist. Northd Mr Hodgson in speaking of this
says "On the front of Great Waney
Crag a semi-circular entrenchment
the base of which is about 102 yards, and fronts the edge of the crag: the arc consists of a
ditch partly grown up with peat moss, and a vallum comprised of earth and stones
rudely thrown together.
