Gibb’s Hill Mr. Geo. Gibson, Miller, Encampment upon its summit, which
Ingrammill seems to have consisted of a single ring,
Gibb’s Hill Mr. Jno Elliott, Woodman, or entrenchment, excepting a small
Clinch portion facing the Camp on Castle
Knowe. It is situated on the farm of
Clinch.
Mere Burn Mere Burn Mr. Geo. Bolam, Farmer, On Sheet A stream originating on the farm of
Fawdon 30. 10 Clinch, and flowing in a southerly
Mere Burn Mr. Geo. Gibson, Miller, course, falls into the River Aln.

Ferny Knowe Mr. Jno Elliott, Clinch 30. 10 farm of Clinch, and Covered with
Ferny Knowe Mr. Robt Thompson, Shepd pasture and fern, the latter gives
Clinch rise to the name.
