Haugh Head Haughhead Mr. Robt Brown Senr On Sheet A small hamlet on the road from
Mr. Robt Brown Junr 20. 13 Wooler to Morpeth about 1 1/2 miles
Directory from the former. It consists of a
Haugh Head – adopted. few old dilapidated houses, and
a beershop. The name like the
farm so called, has the same derivation.
Creswell Bog Cresswell Bog Geo. Hughes Esqr. On Sheet A small patch of Marl Bog so called,
Mr. Robt Brown 20. 13 on the Estate of Middleton Hall,
Estate Map and in which have been found
from time to time, Skeletons of
the Red Deer, Geo. Hughes Esqr.
Middleton Hall has a fine skull
& Antlers, which were dug up
about 30 years ago, and Mr. Culley
has another, found about the
same time – and in excellent
preservation.
