Aller Dean Mr William Makins 6.8 & in length, commencing a short distance
Aller Dean Mr James Watson 7.5 west of "Allerdean Mill"; and terminating
at the boundary between, Ancroft
Greens farm, and "East Allerdean"
from near the mill (on the east side)
the brae on the south side is covered
with wood, amongst which are
still to be seen some Alder trees
with which the whole dean was
at one time covered –

Unthank Moor Unthank Moor Mr Ralph Roxburgh on Sheets A large extent, of elevated Moor
Mr William Makins 6.4 & land is Common property, between Squire
Mr James Watson 6.8 Selby, and James Grieve Esqr; the latter
having 2/3d but the former having all
the minerals, there has been very extensive
Coal Works here, but they have been
discontinued for some time, and
consisted of two seams, one of which
was called the Unthank Seam &
the other the Bulman Seam
The colliers houses are still remaining, but all the rest are in ruins
