Roman Road Roman Road continued It must be classed as one of
(Devil’s Causeway) (Devil’s "Causeway") the earliest of the Roman Ways

the People to the North of

The site of this road has
been painted out by
Agricultural laborers who in the course of [digging]
turned up the stones by

sinking drains in the
different fields through
which it passed.
