traditions on the Island in
connection with this, but the
inhabitants suppose that persons
have been drowned here when
attempting to cross the sands here
It was formerly very deep but
now when the tide is out there
remains only about 3 ft of water in it
There is no outlet from it
Primrose Bank Primrose Bank Mr Ralph Wilson on sheet A high sandbank on The
Primrose Bank Captn David Moore 12.1 Snook, and having on its Sum
Primrose Bank Mr Robt Stump -mit a Trigl Station. It is remarkable
as being the only place on the Island
where Primroses grow abundantly
Jack Mathison’s Bank Jack Mathison’s Bank Mr Ralph Wilson on sheet A ridge of sandbanks on the N
Jack Mathison’s Bank Captn David Moore 12.1 8/13 side of "The Snook", and covered with
Jack Mathison’s Bank Mr Robt Stump bent grass. It gets this name from
a man of this name having gone there on a
Sunday to look for Rabbits and was discovered
several days afterwards quite dead, his feet
only being visable, the bank having fallen on him.
