Beal Cast Mr John Mathison 11.4 & townships of Beal, and Fenham
Beal Cast Mr Robt Reid, fisherman Fenham 11.8 and bears this name from where
it passes under the N.E. Railway
to where it empties itself into
the "South Low" Black Burn, below High Water
mark. NB All made drains, in
this neighbourhood are called "Casts"
hence the name.
Fishers Baulk Fishers Baulk Mr David Wright # A short portion of a Bridle
Fishers Baulk Mr John Mathison and Foot road, leading from
Fishers Baulk Mr Robt Reid "Fenhamhill" to the sea shore,
in direction of Holy Island, &
and along which the fishermen
walk when, going, and returning
from fishng &c.
It bears this name only across
one enclosure, joining the shore
where it is raised, above the ground
surface, hence "Baulk"
