Camp Camp Mr Thomas On Sheet On the east spur are the traces of
(Remains of) (Remains of) Mr Thompson Encampment 14.2 some excavations, said to be a Camp
Mr Ormiston or entrenchment of the Scots when
encamped on Flodden Hill previous
to the battle of Flodden, it is said
that it was where the Scottish Artillery
were planted, anticipating the English
attack from Ford Bridge, the feature
is very indistinct and can with difficulty
be traced –

Mr Thomas this appelation, it stands on the
south bank of the Till near Flodden
Tile work
Flodden Tile Works Flodden Tile Works Estate map On Sheet A place of considerable size, having
Mr Thomas 14.2 sheds kilns and Clay Pits, for the
Mr Ormiston manufacture of Drain Tiles of all
kinds there is a small Steam Engine
on the premises to facilitate the work
by drawing the Clay from the pits, pumping
and making the Tiles, turning them
out ready for the Kilns –
