Mr William John Wilkin Preston 21.12 the northwest of Chathill town
Mr S. Garver, Chathill -ship, this hill is a portion of
Mr A. Gibson, Broomford the "Combs, or Kaims which appear to termi
-nate (in this direction) here
It presents a very Singular feature
being Completely Surrounded by
regular Slopes, having between each
a level space (not an entrenchment)
all of which are well defined,
And have the appearance of
being artificial. It does not appear
to have been a Camp, as there are
no entrenchments. It is supposed
that the township took its name
from this hill.
