Pow Burn Pow Burn Ralph Carr Esqr. High Hedgeley On Sheets A Small stream rising to the S.W. of Branton
Mr. Wm Spink Branton Middle Farm 30.3 Middle Farm, and passing Powburn village on the
James Weir farmer Crawley Tower 30.7 N. joins the Breamish near Beanley Tile Works –
High Hedgeley High Hedgeley Ralph Carr Esqr. Proprietor On Sheet A Neat modern mansion on the S. of the
Armstrong’s Co map, dated 1769 30.4 River Breamish, finely seated on a declivity
Greenwood’s Co map, dated 1827-8 and embowered in thriving plantations, it is the
seat of R. Carr Esqr. and so named to disting-
-uish it from Low Hedgely, situated in the same
township –
