Mr J Cairns with heath and rough pasture and
on its summit there are the remains
of two ancient Camps very near
each other, there is also a Shepherds
house on the top of it and between
the camps is a curiously marked stone.

Mr J Cairns they are supposed to be British
Camps-
Sculptured Rock Sculptured Rock Revd W. Proctor On Sheet A large rock curiously incised
Chas Rea Esqr 15.13 with round holes and circles which have drawn
Mr J Cairns a good deal of antiquarian attention. The incisions
are supposed to be of Druidical origin by
some – and by others, the work of those who
made or occupied the camps –
