Peel- This is considered a better by an inscription on the N. face of
arrangement of the name the Tower of which the following is a
than writing both Peel copy-
and Tower-as both mean T. G. MILES
the same thing HVIVS:STRVC
TVRE:SVPTVM
FECIT.AD.1584
"Mr Thomas Grey Knight made this
writing at his own expence in the year
of our Lord 1584"-the above is
all the information I can collect in
the locality respecting this antiquity.
