Redesdale Redesdale Mr Shanks 45 Chains S.E. of A modern village erected by the late
Redesdale Mr Hindmarsh E. Chesterhope Redesdale Iron Company for the accomodation of
Redesdale Mr Miller thier workmen but since the abandonment of
the Iron Works the Houses were for many years
unoccupied but are now inhabited by the workmen
employed making the Wansbeck Railway
Ironworks Redesdale Ironworks Mr Shanks 40 Chains S.E. of These extensive works are now in disuse
(Disused) Redesdale Ironworks Mr Ridley E. Chesterhope and when in operation consisted of an Engine House
Redesdale Ironworks Mr Martinson three Blast Furnaces Roasting Kiln coke ovens &c
but since the works has been abandoned the whole
of the machinery has been removed and the
entire of the Buildings are in a very ruinous and
dilapidated condition
