Camp Camp Robert Shafto Esqr. About 40 Chs north The remains of an ancient
(Remains of) (Money Hills) of Gunnerton British Camp, Situated on an
Money Hills Camp Mr. Marshall farmer Gunnerton eminence known by Money
Camp Revd. C. Bird (Chollerton) Hills. The inner area is raised
(Remains of) between twenty and thirty feet
above the Surface, resembling
a Tumulus. it is enclosed
by a Fosse varying in depth
four to seven feet, in a
good state of preservation.
Owing to the level ground
on the north, it appears to
have been necessary to have
an additional Support in the
form of a shallow Fosse, it
extends from the East to the
west Sides describing a
Semicircle. the South and
South west Sides Are well
Supported by natural Slopes.
