Chillingham Castle White’s Directory Vol:I P.501 of Chillingham Village. It is pleasantly
Chillingham Castle Hutchinson’s Northumberland embowerd with fine trees, and ornamental
Vol:1 P.237 grounds which almost obscure it from view
till quite close to it, when it presents a sombre
looking square mass of building in the
Elizabethan Style of architecture, of four Stories
high in the wings & 3 in the centre.
