Mr Davidson 9.14 A low marshy Bog near the N. E. Line of
Mr Scott Railway about 1 mile eastward from
Wark Railway Station. It is named in
Consequence of Marl for the land being
taken therefrom – some years ago, several
large Stag horns, and a curious Oaken
paddle, such as the South Sea Islanders
use were dug up here at a depth of
14 feet
