name from a Corn mill
Bridge Revd Mr Jacques 2 Chains N This is asserted by all
Bridge Bacon Grey Esqe of St James’ the leading gentry of the
Bridge Mr March Church neighbourhood to be a Roman
production. The Revd Mr Jacques
informed me that the Battlements
are modern. As the bridge is small
it must unquestionably have been
according to the Roman custom of
Road making to have been for the accom
modation of foot passengers.
