Mr A Rankin 13.4 parish. it is now only applied to the
Copy of lease one enclosure, the name is derived from
the Plover curlew called Whaup in the north of
England and also in Scotland.
The land is now arable the property of
J Collingwood Esqr of Cornhill House
Whaup Plantation Whaup Plantation Revd Robert Jones On Sheet A small irregularly shaped plantation of
Mr Broomfield 13.4 mixed trees within the enclosure called
Mr Rankin Whaup Moor and named in consequence.
Branxton Stead Branxton Stead Revd Robert Jones On Sheet A small farm steading with one or
Mr Rankin 13.4 two Hinds Cottages attached. it is situated
Tithe Map at the foot of Branxton Hill northward
and belongs to the farm bearing the latter
name. The proprietor is J Collingwood Esqr
of Cornhill House
