they were wilfully throwing away their chance of Victory.
King James moved slowly down the front of Branxton
hill, with his Battalions in perfect order and regular
order, as if intent only upon the desperate purpose
before him, without making the slightest noise.
And on this low-lying ground was fought, what is still
spoken of in Scotland with grief & anguish, the
"Battle of Flodden Field"
