British Camp Mr Laughlin’s Plan of the eminence the present remains consists of a large mound
Roman Road Called the Devils Causeway of earth and small stones in some places about 4 feet
high enclosing a small area on the very crown of the hill
and appears to have been at one time defended on the south
east by a vallum or ditch The work is still in an
excellent state of preservation
