Budle Cottage discharges itself into it, to the
Low Water, Vessels Can sail
up this water at high tides,
as far as "The Bight", and
small Craft as far as Waren Mill.
This Water runs very near to the
"Budle" side of the Bay, or inlet,
having a great extent of Sands
on the Ross side, – there is a small
Quay on the east side of it. at
"Heather House," and about 1/2 a
mile from Low Water mark is
where vessels frequently put in,
with Coal, and for Corn, flour,
And other farm produce.
