boundary between Newham, and
Bradford townships. They have
got this name, from the wet
nature of the ground. They are
The property of the Duke of North-
-umberland, and others.
Pigdon Hill Pigdon Hill Mr William Archbold See Sheet A very prominent elevation
Pigdon Hill Mr James Dryden 16.16 and in an arable field, south of
Pigdon Hill Mr Gilbert Pearcy Steward "Bradford Combs", and is a
Steward portion of the same formation.
This Knoll appears to have
Camp Camp (Remains of) Mr William Archbold See Sheet been a Military Station, as there
(Remains of) (British) Mr James Dryden 16.16 are the remains of small entrench
Mr Gilbert Pearcy Steward -ments, cut mainly across it. It must
have been a small outpost, as it is
a place not at all adapted, for
long number a large body of men. It Consists of
a double ditch, and Valum, but
is very small.
