Long Barracks Mr J. Bolam (Tenant) 16.11 & on the farm of Spindleston, And
Long Barracks Mr J. Gillie 16.12 taking a S. E. direction to the
Road leading from Bradford to
Bamburgh, where this name ter
-minates, (but the feature still
Continues, And is Known by differ[ent]
names, such as "Well Hill", "The Park"
"Pigdon Hill", And "Ell Hill" –
all of which will appear in their
proper places,) near to this on
the south side is a similar formation
and lying parallel with the above
ridge, but this has been Cultivated
and its form somewhat altered.
This Range of Hill, Continues continues in
this Course, to Newham Village
but only partakes of this gravelly
nature at intervals, the Remainder
being good arable land.
There are several portions of it
the most perfect specimen of Kaims
