It has been been very much defaced
by the action of the plough &c
but is still well defined, on the north
and west sides, the latter being more
natural, than artificial, the north
side was defended by a double ditch
and ramparts – &c, the South, And
east sides, appears to have been the
the same, but are nearly obliterated.
In form, it was more of an ova
the than Circular.

Township. It would appear to
have got this name from its
peculiar form, It is the property
of Greenich Greenwich Hospital.
There is are the Remains of a Danish
Camp on the South end of it.
