Chapel Chapel Mr James Dunse On Sheet The Remains of An old Chapel,
(Remains of) (Remains of) Mr William Carr 17.5 in Bamburgh Castle, A portion,
Revd. W. Darnell of the east end, is Still Standing
Revd. W. Orde And is Semicircular in form, there
Hutchinson’s View of Are in it, 5 narrow windows, And,
Northumberland between each, are, Small Clustered
Columns, the North wall, is high,
but modern, And on the old
foundations, on the South Side a
Wall of about 2 feet high has been
erected. This Chapel, was discovered
in 1773, when throwing Some Sand,
over the bank, it is about 100 feet
in length. A Richly Carved font, was
also found, together with the Altar.
School School Mr James Dunse On Sheet 17.5 A large Room in "Bamburgh
Mr William Carr Castle", in which 30 Girls are educated, And are
Revd. W. Darnell also Lodged, fed, and Clothed, by the Trustees. They are
Revd. W. Orde admitted, at the age of 9 years, And are Sent out to
Hutchinson’s View of Situations, At the age of 16, when they receive a Complete
Northumberland outfit, together with Bible, Prayer Book &c , And
if they have behave well, for one year, they get a gratuity
from the Trustees of one pound sterling.
This Room, was Commonly Called the "King’s –
– Kitchen"
