Shada Plantation Shada Plantation Estate Map On Sheet A long, Narrow Ridge of Rocky ground
Shada Plantation Mr. George Turnbull 16.8 lying, Southwest, and northeast, &
Shada Plantation A. Hills Esqr. having at the west end, a high Crag.
Nearly the whole of this Ridge, is now
Covered with a thriving plantation chiefly
fir. It is the property of the Earl Grey.
The appearance of this elevation,
leads me to be pretty certain, that
"Shada" is a Contraction of Shade
Heugh, and which shelters the enclosures
on South Side of it from the North
and Northwest Winds – but the
authorities, would not agree with this.
Shada Shada Estate Map
Mr. George Turnbull them on the North, and three on
A. Hills Esqr. South Side of Shada Plantation
Not to be written on the Plan. from which they receive the name
They are the property of Earl Grey.
