Three Barons’ Ford Three Barons Ford Mr. Edwd Dickson, Sandyford On Sheet A ford on the Drove Road crossing
Three Barons Ford Mr. George Tait, Forester Newstead 21.14 Sandyford Burn, and at a point
Three Barons Ford Robt Thompson, Shepd. Old Clattery where the lands of three different
proprietors met, and from which
circumstance the name is supposed
to have been derived. There are but
two landholders whose properties
meet here now, Viz. His Grace the Duke
of Northumberland and Cresswell Baker Esqr.
Tumulus Tumulus Mr. Edwd Dickson On Sheet This name applies to two mounds
Tumulus Mr. George Tait 21.14 formed of earth and stone near
Tumulus Robt Thompson the Drove Road on Rosebrough Moor and
supposted to be the burial place
of some ancient warriors.
