Newham Howeway Mr. James Marshall 21.4 & road leading into the North End
Newham Howeway Mr. George Pyle. 21.8 of Newham Village – and bears the
Newham Howeway Mr. Thomas Rule. Newham name from the Head of Newham
Howeway" to the latter. It gets this
name from a portion of it having been
Cut through, a hill, &c.
Newham Station Newham Station Mr. William Archbold On Sheet A neat, but small station, on the
Mr. James Marshall 21.8 N.E.Railway, a short distance South
Mr. George Pyle. -west of Newham Village. There are
Mr. Thomas Rule. Newham Booking Office, Station Master’s
Residence, with small garden attached
and a Coal Depot. Trains stop here
daily. It is The property, of the Railway
Company.
Hagg Burn Hagg Burn Mr. William Archbold On Sheets A small Rivulet, flowing between
Mr. James Marshall 21.8 & "Henhill", and Newham Buildings in
Mr. George Pyle. 21.12 a northeasterly direction , and it bears
Mr. Thomas Rule. Newham the name from the west end of
"Hagg Dean" (from which it gets the
name) to the North E.Railway, where
it takes the name of Newham Burn.
