Craster Arms Inn Craster Arms Sign Board On Sheet A good, Substantial building
Inn. 22.2 erected in 1757, against the
Craster Arms Mr. Thomas Whittle, (Occupier) south side of "Beadnell Tower"
Inn. and the entrance to it is through
Craster Arms Revd. Mr. Cumby the latter. It is three storeys high
Inn. and forms a land mark to
Craster Arms Mr John Bolton mariners, sailing along this
Inn. Coast. It is The property of
Mr Wood, "Tughall Hall". There
are stables, garden, and a small
pasture field attached.
Grindstone Hill Estate Map A long, narrow, arable field, on
Grindstone Hill John Railston Esqr. the north side of Moor Fields, and
Grindstone Hill Mr. George Forster near to Burnhouse. There is no hill
Not to be written on the Plan. here, but only the least perceptable rise.
The origin of the name is unknown
but it is supposed that a Quarry was here
with that description of stone in it.
