Remains Mr. H. Strong The remains of an ancient Camp,
(Druidical) Mr. Wm Short supposed to be of Druidical origin
Mr. A Lowery it is placed on the N.W. foot of Yeavering
Bell and differs much from the generallity
of British Camps. They, generally consisting
of several uniform Ramparts & fosses, whereas
this is a paralellogram, the outside being
faced with large, rude, upright stones – and
the earth evidently scooped out from the
centre of the enclosed space & banked up
against the stone. The central & largest
has two such embankments, and on each side
is a much smaller Camp, but constructed
in the same manner.
It is considered doubtful as to these
two Enclosures being Druidical

omitted.
Remains Mr Wm Short The remains of another such Camp as
(Druidical) Mr Wm Turnbull the above, situated on the West side
Mr H. Strong or foot of Yeavering Bell.
