Longdyike Burn Longdyke Burn Mr Donkin About 72 chains S.E. A considerable Stream rising in
Longdyke Burn Mr Chator of Bywell the Parish of Longhorsley & flowing in an
Longdyke Burn Mr Hogg easterly direction through a flat and
fertile track of land until it joins the River
This will do for considerable Coquet. This stream is called
Paxton Burn through Long distances – but won’t do for Bothal after the different Farms through
Horsley Parish North to as there is but a few chains of it which it flows. But the name adopted
where it enters Felton – and in that parish – Longdike Burn in Bothall Parish is written on the tracing
through Felton it is called rejected – and Paxton adopted for of this Parish
Longdike Bothal to agree with Longridge
