(Boys & Girls) the Government principales of Education. It receives
National School Mr Wood Birtley a grant of 5£ per annum from the
(Boys & Girls) Trustees of Bettons Charity And a grant
National School Lintel of door of Building of 7£ per annum from the Duke of
Northumberland. A public reading room
for the use of the inhabitants of the villcage
is in the same building. Also a receiving
box for letters, the two allowances of money are
merely voluntary and can be withdrawn there is no
endowment.
